The Team
At Dr. Baldassano's Specialty Endodontic office, we employ a team of professionals. Our staff includes a knowledgeable and friendly receptionist along with compassionate dental assistants each to help make your visit comfortable and smooth as possible.
Additionally, we employ, when necessary, a Board Certified Diplomate Oral Pathologist and Board Certified Radiologist for patient care. You are our priority!

Dr. Joseph V. Baldassano
Dr. Joseph Baldassano is a native of the Chicago-land area. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Loyola University of Chicago.
Immediately upon graduation, he was accepted to attend Loyola University School of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with honors. Additionally, He was awarded the Award of Merit from the American College of Dentists during his final year of training for outstanding clinical care.
Dr Baldassano, following dental school graduation, was accepted to participate in a, one year, General Practice Dental Hospital Residency at Hines Veterans Hospital in Hines, Illinois. This training allowed Dr. Baldassano to treat medically complex dental patients in a hospital setting. He maintained a staff position until entering his Endodontic Residency Program.
Dr. Baldassano continued his professional educational training, as one of only four residents accepted nationwide to a two year Endodontic Specialty Residency Program, at Indiana University School of Dentistry.
He earned a Specialty Certificate in Endodontics. Additionally, Dr. Baldassano conducted research at Indiana University in pursuit of a Master of Science Degree. He earned his MSD upon completion of his research project while in his Endodontic Specialty Residency.
Lastly, while in his Endodontic Residency program, He also earned a minor in Oral Pathology from Indiana University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Baldassano has maintained a private Endodontic practice in Inverness, Illinois since completing his specialty residency. He is skilled in all aspects of specialty Endodontic care including Root Canal Therapy, Re-treatment Root Canal Therapy and Surgical Endodontic Therapy. Additionally, fractured and knocked out teeth following minor oral trauma are also treated.
He is a member in good standing of the following organizations:
The American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society,
Chicago Dental Society, American Association of Endodontists, Illinois Association of Endodontist, American College of Dentists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics,
The Edgar Coolidge Endodontic Study Club and
The Arcolian Dental Arts Society.
Dr. Baldassano is proud of the fact that he has achieved Board Certified status as a Diplomate of The American Board of Endodontics and is a Fellow of The American College of Dentists.
Dr. Baldassano is on staff at Good Shepherd Hospital
in Barrington, Illinois.
Dr. Baldassano is also the staff Endodontist at Hines Veterans Hospital Dental Clinic in Hines, Illinois.
At Hines, Dr. Baldassano cares for US Military Veterans and also helps train General Dental Residents in the hospital clinic once a week.
